Hivamat®, also referred to as Deep Oscillation Therapy, is a gentle but powerful treatment that uses pulsed electrostatic fields (5–200 Hz), a force that attracts and drops tissue up to 250x per second, to create deep‑tissue oscillations up to ~8 cm below the skin. These oscillations generate a kneading effect in connective tissue, lymphatic vessels, fat, muscles, and blood vessels to promote healing

Hivamat - Manual Lymphatic drainage is excellent for lymphedema, edema conditions, post-oncology surgery, Pre-postoperative therapy, post-orthopedic surgery, Scar, burn scar inflammation, fibrosis, wounds, and for pain relief.

	•	Scar and fibrosis treatment: Hivamat supports scar remodeling and helps prevent keloids or adhesions, especially following surgery (e.g., mastectomy, caesarian, orthopedic procedures) ￼
When it comes to second- and third-degree burn scars, Hivamat may be helpful in several ways,  especially as part of a long-term rehabilitation and scar management plan.


? How Hivamat Can Help with Burn Scars (2nd and 3rd Degree)

✅ 1. Reduces Swelling and Inflammation
	•	Deep oscillation helps drain excess fluid and reduces edema in the surrounding tissues.
	•	This is crucial for second-degree burns, which often have inflammation that delays healing.

	•	Burn scars (especially hypertrophic and keloid) often become tight and restrictive.

	•	Once the graft has healed and scar tissue has matured enough (typically weeks to months post-surgery), Hivamat can be used to:
	•	Prevent hardening and tightening
	•	Improve circulation around the graft
	•	Support functional recovery in the surrounding tissue

? Recommended Use
	•	Typically used in series of sessions (2-3 times per week).
	•	Often combined with manual lymphatic drainage, scar massage, and rehabilitative stretching.
