Complementary Therapies

Complementary therapies focus on the whole person experience. Our Customized Foot massage, Reiki, or Scalp massage treatments are used with conventional medicine and may help people cope better with the physical and emotional impact of cancer, as well as side effects caused by conventional cancer treatments.  They do not aim to cure the person's cancer; instead, they are used to help control symptoms such as pain and fatigue.  More people with cancer may use Complementary therapies to:

- Help cope with the side effects of cancer treatments
- Ease worries of cancer treatment and related stress
- Feel that they are doing something more to help their own care

Our holistic therapies are Reiki - energy therapy, Reflexology, Indian head massage, and gentle Thai stretch for joint mobility. We can combine them if you want to try a mix of them. 

If your budget is short  and are in need of some treatments you can apply for a grant with United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) in their Holistic program to book treatments with us at Complementary Therapies by Greta.  They usually approve 10 treatments.
