Complementary Therapies 

Complementary therapies focus on the whole person experience. Our Oncology massage, breast cancer rehab and wellness treatments are used with conventional medicine, and may help people cope better with the physical and emotional impact of cancer, as well as side effects caused by conventional cancer treatments.  They do not aim to cure the person's cancer, instead they are used to help control symptoms such as pain and fatigue.  More people with cancer may use Complementary therapies to:

- Help cope with the side effects of cancer treatments
- Ease worries of cancer treatment and related stress
- Feel that they are doing something more to help their own care

Some complementary therapies such Aromatherapy may not be recommended during your treatment as they interfere with your treatment and/or worsen side effects.

If you are in need of some treatments you can apply for a grant with United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) in their Holistic program to book treatments with Complementary Therapies.
